Polyester foam · common questions
Is this the same as PET acoustic panels?
Yes — "polyester foam" and "PET fibre" are the same product family. We use both names because customers search both.
How is it different from polyurethane foam (PU)?
Different chemistry. PET fibre is fire-safer (B-s1,d0), no off-gassing, recyclable. Polyurethane foam is cheaper but lower fire-rating and emits VOCs.
Can I install it myself?
Yes for small areas — the panels are lightweight (2 kg/m²) and adhere with strong double-sided tape or simple clip-on tracks. We supply method statements.
