Important: This product reduces vibration and structure-borne noise from mechanical systems and impacts. It does not absorb echo or block airborne sound on its own.

Dense polyurethane wall pads that absorb impact energy where balls hit, doors slam or people brush past. The foam compresses on impact (converting kinetic energy to heat) — protects the wall finish and reduces the structure-borne thud transmitted through the wall. Used in recording studios, gyms, sports halls, schools and back-of-door zones.

What Are Crash Pads?

High-quality wall and floor pads built in one-piece construction, fully wrapped in a vinyl-coated polyester covering (PVC 1.0 mm ±0.1) over a closed-cell PU foam core. Available in 50, 75 and 100 mm thicknesses for wall pads (and up to 1000 mm for floor crash mats). Meets the strictest off-gassing standards — safe for school-age children, gymnasiums, studios and back-of-door zones.

Hidden Z-clips screw to the wall at a level line — no visible fixings.

Hang Pads

Pads hook onto the clips — easy to lift off for cleaning or replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do crash pads reduce room noise or reverb?

No. Crash pads are impact absorbers, not sound absorbers. The vinyl face is acoustically reflective (NRC 0.10-0.15). Their job is to absorb the kinetic energy of an impact — so a ball, body or door hitting the pad does not damage the wall and does not generate the loud thud a bare wall would. For room reverb / speech clarity / studio acoustics, use acoustic panels instead. Many projects use both.

Are crash pads the same as acoustic panels?

No. Acoustic panels absorb airborne sound (reverb). Crash pads absorb impact energy — built denser, with a tougher face. Most projects use both — crash pads where impact is expected, acoustic panels everywhere else.

Earlier the page said "30 dB" — what did that actually mean?

We removed that figure because it was ambiguous. There is no certified ΔLn or sound-reduction rating for this product. The honest claim is qualitative: the foam dampens the noise generated at the moment of impact (the thud a ball makes hitting a wall) — but the actual dB reduction depends on the wall build-up, the impact source, and the measurement standard. We do not publish a number we cannot certify.

What's the warranty?

5 years against delamination and seam failure. Foam compression set is rated at <10% after 5 years for normal indoor use.

Can the pads be wiped down with disinfectant?

Yes — the vinyl face is compatible with standard hospital disinfectants (quaternary ammonium, dilute bleach, alcohol). Don't use solvent-based cleaners.

Custom branding or colours?

Yes. For project quantities (50 m² +) we can supply custom RAL colours, printed logos on the vinyl face, or fabric-faced versions in any colour.

How are they mounted?

Three options: hidden Z-clip (most common — looks clean, removable for cleaning), screw-fix through the panel (fastest, cheapest, visible heads), or hook-and-loop (lowest disruption — for retrofit).
